Rajasthan CM dedicates projects worth ₹924 crore in Udaipur division

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Saturday said the state government is working to preserve tribal heritage and provide better markets and livelihood opportunities to the tribal communities, as he inaugurated and laid the foundation for 1,452 development works worth ₹924 crore in the Udaipur division.

Addressing a programme in Pratapgarh, Sharma said tribal art and cultural traditions form a distinctive and strong identity for Rajasthan.

“The state government is working to preserve this tribal heritage and promote local products. Through the Rajsangh and CONFED, tribal people will get better prices for their products, better markets and new livelihood opportunities,” he said.

Of the 1,452 projects spread across seven districts in the Udaipur division, Sharma inaugurated 423 works worth over ₹256 crore and laid the foundation for 1,029 works worth more than ₹668 crore.

The projects include works related to roads, electricity, drinking water, irrigation, healthcare, schools, rural development, skill development, hostels and tribal development.

The chief minister said ₹429 crore would be spent on 299 road projects, while 562 rural development works would be undertaken for ₹73 crore.

Six healthcare projects worth ₹71 crore were also among the works for which foundation was laid.

Sharma said 530 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras have been established in eight districts and the government is working to strengthen livelihood opportunities for the tribal communities.

He also launched 'Adiparag', a wild forest honey product under the 'Vangiri' brand of the Rajasthan Tribal Area Development Cooperative Federation Limited (Rajsangh).

An MoU was exchanged between Rajsangh and CONFED for marketing and sale of products made by the Van Dhan Vikas Kendras.

Sharma claimed the government has provided appointments against 1.90 lakh posts in over two-and-a-half years, while recruitment for another 1.22 lakh posts was underway.

A recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts had been issued for 2026, he said.

He also said the government is working to provide daytime electricity to farmers in all the districts by 2027.

Earlier, Sharma offered prayers at the Deepeshwar Mahadev temple in Pratapgarh.

Tribal Area Development Minister Babulal Kharadi, Revenue Minister Hemant Meena and Minister of State for Cooperation Gautam Kumar Dak were among those present at the programme.
