The Rajasthan government is using video calls and AI-based tools under its Next Gen Rajasthan Sampark platform to facilitate public grievance redressal and analyse complaints, according to Chief Secretary V Srinivas.
The platform is being positioned by the Rajasthan government as a practice that can be replicated by other states.
The digital platform enables citizens to interact with call centre operators and government officials through video calls for grievance redressal. The system has resulted in higher citizen satisfaction, reduced timelines for grievance resolution and an increase in the number of public grievance cases being filed, according to the government.
The Next Gen Rajasthan Sampark platform uses AI tools to process large volumes of data and categorise grievances.
Srinivas interacted with citizens through video calls on Tuesday regarding grievances related to several departments. District-level public service officials also participated in the interactions.
The government said the video-call facility has enabled citizens to directly interact with senior government officials and has increased trust in the grievance redressal process.
