Rajasthan CS directs departments to expedite welfare delivery under Jan Seva Abhiyan

In a review meeting, V Srinivas called for daily reviews, real-time reporting and faster resolution of grievances as the month-long campaign crosses 1.37 crore participants.

Chief Secretary V Srinivas chaired a review meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday to assess the progress of the 'Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan'.

The campaign is being conducted across Rajasthan from September 17 to October 17, which includes 12 flagship activities, with more than 1.37 crore citizens having participated so far.

The meeting reviewed the work being carried out by various departments, field-level progress and the delivery of welfare benefits to beneficiaries.

Srinivas directed departments to conduct daily reviews, submit real-time progress reports, document activities through audio-visual material and undertake verification at the district level. Departments were also asked to compile success stories and use local media for publicity.

He directed officials to ensure that benefits of welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries within the stipulated time. He also directed that pending grievances received at rural service camps be resolved on a priority basis.

The Chief Secretary called for coordination among departments and monitoring of the campaign.

He said that applications and grievances received during the campaign should be resolved promptly and directed field-level officials to work towards the campaign's objectives.

Senior officials briefed the Chief Secretary on the campaign's progress and the upcoming roadmap.

State Coordinator and ACS, Water Resources, Abhay Kumar; ACS Higher and Technical Education, Kuldeep Ranka; ACS Youth Affairs and Sports, Praveen Gupta; ACS Urban Development, Alok Gupta; and ACS School Education, Rajesh Kumar Yadav, attended the meeting.

Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of concerned departments also participated. Divisional Commissioners and District Collectors joined the meeting through video conference.
