Major Inter-State Water Agreements Signed: Rajasthan CM

Ramjal Setu, Yamuna Water Agreement, Narmada Agreement and Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project signed to meet Rajasthan’s water requirements

UdaipurTimes, Sept 24, 2026 - Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has said that the State Government has prepared a roadmap for rural development that will ensure planned development of every village in the State. The roadmap includes facilities ranging from sports grounds to Atal Gyan Kendras. The government intends to enable youth to benefit from e-learning facilities at these Atal Gyan Kendras, he added.

The Chief Minister was addressing the Seva Samvad Programme–Seva Sankalp Yatra Abhiyaan in Jaitaran on Wednesday, September 23. He further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, pending projects in the State have been resolved and that major inter-State agreements - including the Ramjal Setu, Yamuna Water Agreement, Narmada Agreement and Kishau Multipurpose Dam Project - have been signed to meet Rajasthan’s water requirements.

CM Sharma said that government undertakings ranging from Roadways to dairy are operating profitably. Farmers are being provided an additional bonus of Rs 150 per quintal over the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for wheat. Campaigns such as Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam have given a new direction to society and the country under the PM’s guidance. Inspired by the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, Rajasthan is also implementing the Hariyalo Rajasthan Abhiyaan, under which a commitment has been made to plant 50 crore saplings over five years.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited an exhibition showcasing departmental schemes and distributed cheques and tricycles to beneficiaries of various schemes.
