Jaipur: The First Short Course Senior National Swimming Championship 2026 will be organised by the Swimming Federation of India from October 25 to 28 in Ahmedabad (Gujarat).For the selection of Rajasthanâs menâs and womenâs team in the competition, selection trials will be held on October 5 and 6 at the Municipal Swimming Pool in Shahpura.Rajasthan State Swimming Association president Anil Vyas said that in this regard, information regarding the trials has been issued to all the affiliated units of the state swimming association. In the trials, swimmers of men and women categories will present their claim in various events.The competition will feature events in 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1500 metres in freestyle, 50, 100, and 200 metres in backstroke, 50, 100, and 200 metres in breaststroke, and 50, 100, and 200 metres in butterfly. In addition, individual medley events will be held in 100, 200, and 400 metres.Anil Vyas said the state association has mandated a valid UID 2026-27 issued by the federation for swimmers participating in the trials. A swimmer can participate in a maximum of five events, with a maximum of four entries per event. Entries for the Rajasthan team must be submitted in the prescribed form by September 30. No entries will be accepted after that date.
