Rajasthan CM inaugurates 423 projects, lays foundation for 1,029 works worth ₹924 crore

Projects span seven districts of Udaipur division, covering power, roads, drinking water, irrigation, education and healthcare.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Saturday inaugurated 423 development works worth ₹256 crore and laid the foundation stone for 1,029 works worth ₹668 crore across seven districts of the Udaipur division.

According to the official press release, the projects cover Udaipur, Dungarpur, Chittorgarh, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand and Salumbar.

Udaipur accounted for 526 works worth ₹166.80 crore, followed by Pratapgarh with 436 works worth ₹109.77 crore, Rajsamand with 130 works worth ₹108.50 crore, Dungarpur with 105 works worth ₹189.85 crore, Salumbar with 90 works worth ₹95.05 crore, Chittorgarh with 88 works worth ₹164.57 crore and Banswara with 77 works worth ₹89.68 crore.

Of the inaugurated works, 14 power projects were worth ₹87 crore, while 15 drinking water and irrigation projects were valued at more than ₹75 crore. Seven road projects worth ₹22 crore and 19 school projects worth more than ₹9 crore were also inaugurated. Other works covered health, skill development, naturopathy, environmental protection, infrastructure, hostels, tribal development and school construction.

The foundation stones were laid for 299 road projects worth ₹429 crore, 562 rural development projects worth ₹73 crore and six health infrastructure projects worth ₹71 crore.

Addressing the event in Pratapgarh, Sharma said the state government was working on water, electricity, roads, education and healthcare facilities in rural areas. He also referred to the PM-JANMAN scheme and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan for development in tribal areas.

The state government has established 530 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras across eight districts and issued orders for 250 new Maa-Badi centres. The monthly mess allowance for students has been increased to ₹3,250. The government has also inaugurated 5,947 centres under the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

The government distributed 2.36 lakh minikits to tribal farmers and disbursed loans worth ₹925 crore under the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Rajasthan Dalit, Adivasi Udyam Protsahan Yojana.

During the event, Sharma launched ‘Aadiparag’, the first honey product under the ‘Vangiri’ brand of Rajasthan Tribal Area Development Cooperative Federation Limited (Rajassangh). An MoU was also exchanged between Rajassangh and CONFED for marketing and sale of products made through Van Dhan Vikas Kendras.

Sharma said the state government had made appointments to 1.90 lakh posts during its tenure, while recruitment for 1.22 lakh posts was underway. A recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts for 2026 has also been released.

The government is also working on the Ramjal Setu Link Project, Yamuna Water Agreement, and Narmada and Kishau projects. It has set a target of providing daytime electricity to farmers across all districts by 2027.
