Rajasthan CM announces ₹993 crore development projects for Bharatpur division

Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurates 65 works worth ₹453 crore and lays foundation stones for 184 projects worth ₹540 crore across five districts.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday inaugurated 65 development works worth around ₹453 crore and laid foundation stones for 184 works worth ₹540 crore in Bharatpur Division.

According to the official press release, the projects cover Bharatpur, Deeg, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur and Dholpur. Bharatpur received inauguration and foundation stone-laying for 130 works worth more than ₹382 crore, Deeg for 24 works worth more than ₹358 crore, Karauli for 43 works worth more than ₹136 crore, Sawai Madhopur for 46 works worth more than ₹74 crore and Dholpur for six works worth more than ₹42 crore.

In the healthcare sector, the foundation stone was laid for a Trauma Centre and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Hospital in Bharatpur at a cost of about ₹160 crore. Foundation stones were also laid for 20 medical and health works worth more than ₹108 crore, while 11 works were inaugurated.

For road infrastructure, foundation stones were laid for 125 works costing more than ₹207 crore, while road projects worth more than ₹24 crore were inaugurated.

In the power sector, 14 works worth ₹273 crore were inaugurated. New 33 KV substations will be constructed at Chuli and Aniyala. Projects worth more than ₹128 crore in the water resources sector were inaugurated, while foundation stones were laid for new works worth more than ₹44 crore. The drinking water augmentation scheme in Nadbai is also scheduled to begin.

The Chief Minister said the state government is undertaking water sector projects worth more than ₹2 lakh crore. He also said Rajasthan’s power generation capacity has increased by 10,500 MW.

Sharma said 410 examinations have been conducted without paper leaks, resulting in appointments to 1.90 lakh posts. Recruitment to 1.22 lakh posts is under process, while a recruitment calendar for 1.25 lakh posts has been issued.

During the programme, the Chief Minister announced modern stadiums in Bayana and Braj Nagar, along with new 33 KV substations at Thanadang, Supa and Mahalpur Chura. He also announced construction of roads and three culverts in the region.
