JAMMU, Sept 26: On fourth day of the ongoing 14th Mini & 8th Child National Fencing Championship 2026-27, being held at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu, Rajasthan won gold while Arshiya Jamwal of J&K clinched Bronze Medal in Mini (Under-12) Girls Sabre event.

The championship is being organized by the J&K Fencing Association (JKFA) under the aegis of the Fencing Association of India.

On fourth day, competitions were conducted in three events-Mini (Under-12) Girls Sabre, Child (Under-10) Girls Epee and Child (Under-10) Boys Foil.

The chief guests on the occasion were Virinder Singh Bhou, District & Sessions Judge (Retd.), Sr. Advocate Shah Mohd. Chowdhary, Advocate Mohd. Anwar Chowdhary, Advocate Sheikh Shakeel Ahmed and Mohd. Zulkarnain Chowdhary.

The chief guests presented medals to the winners and congratulated all the young athletes for their outstanding performances.

Among others present on the occasion were Advocate Supriya Chouhan, Secretary General, JKFA; Rashid Ahmed Choudhary, International Referee; Col. Vikram Singh Jamwal, TIDC Member, SAI; Maninder Pal Singh; Adarsh Slathia and Javed Choudhary, former senior fencers.

In Mini (Under-12) Girls Sabre, Ali Shahnoor from Rajasthan won Gold, Japji Dhillon from Punjab won Silver, Arshiya Jamwal from J&K won Bronze. Other winners were Baani Kaur from Punjab, M Nimna from Tamil Nadu, Falak Garg from Punjab, Agam Kaur from Punjab and Sapavath Keerthana from Telangana.

In Child (Under-10) Girls Epee, Virasat Kaur Batth from Punjab won Gold, Sukhmanpreet Kaur from Punjab won Silver, S.M Asmitha from Tamil Nadu won Bronze. Other winners were Vanshree Khamkar from Maharashtra, Arohi Kshirsagar from Maharashtra, Jasleen Kaur from Punjab, Aneesa Vermani from Punjab and Aanya Yadav from J&K.
