Rajasthan to hold Viksit Bharat-Jan Seva campaign from September 17 to October 17
The month-long campaign will feature public service camps, blood donation drives, student activities and community programmes across the state.
Chief Secretary V Srinivas announced that the Viksit Bharat-Jan Seva campaign will run across Rajasthan from September 17 to October 17 while reviewing preparations for the campaign at the Government Secretariat on Saturday.
The campaign will include programmes related to public service and public participation. These will include blood donation camps, painting, speech and essay competitions in educational institutions, motivational video screenings, and the felicitation of ASHA Sahyoginis and Anganwadi workers.
Student rallies, Shramdaan, community activities, public service camps, rangoli demonstrations and programmes promoting innovation will also be organised during the campaign.
During the meeting, Srinivas reviewed measures for preventing lumpy skin disease and the vaccination drive. He directed officials to ensure 100 per cent vaccination, implement isolation measures and conduct public awareness activities. Officials were also instructed to monitor the situation and take action as required.
Praveen Malik, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Government of India, briefed officials on measures being taken to control the infection at the national and state levels. He also directed officials to work toward 100 per cent vaccination, focusing on destitute animals and gaushalas.
Principal Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department, Vikas Sitaram Bhale, said cattle fairs have been banned across Rajasthan as a measure to control the disease. In line with Government of India guidelines, animal attendants will conduct door-to-door surveys to monitor livestock health.
